I have a voucher from the NHS, can I use it with you?

I haven’t got a prescription but I want to look really clever at work! Can I have some glasses with plain lenses in anyway?

Of course! Whether you just want to wear some Gucci on your face or impress the boss, it’s easy to order clear lenses. Not a problem, when you create your prescription just enter ‘plano’ in the sphere - sph - section. Plano is the word opticians use for zero power, or infinity. I thought I had to be measured for Varifocals – how can you sell them?

We are a professional company with high standards. We would not sell any product if we thought it would compromise your eye health or standard of vision. Varifocals are a complex product but we have extensive experience and vast knowledge of making spectacles. During our years of dispensing Varifocals we have collated data from clients and calculated average Varifocal measurements. For most people our average statistics will give you a prefect pair of spectacles that will give you perfect vision at low cost. In the unlikely event that you feel they do not work simply send them back for a refund. No fuss, no quibble.

Can you make some sunglasses for me?

We certainly can! We can add a dark tint to prescription lenses, which will turn them into sunglasses. Or you could order photochromic lenses, which will adapt to sunlight for you

I haven’t got a prescription. Can you make ordinary sunglasses for me?

We certainly can! Just enter 00 or plano in the prescription box, choose your tint, and we’ll do the rest for you! Your own pair of bespoke, totally individual sunglasses, made for you!

My prescription is outside the range that you show. Can you still provide me with glasses?

Can I use my Contact Lens prescription to buy glasses?

No, the power for your contacts is different to the power of a glasses lens. You need your full glasses prescription, and remember that it has to be less than two years old for us to use it.

Can you take a prescription from the glasses I’m wearing?

Help! What if I’ve made a mistake on my order?

We make your glasses very quickly on receipt of your order – it’s something we pride ourselves on. Phone us immediately on 03333 440071 and we’ll do our best to rectify the mistake for you.

How do Rimless glasses work?

Rimless glasses consist of the sides and bridge of a frame, which have the lenses drilled and screwed into them. This makes for a very thin, almost invisible pair of glasses, which are very lightweight too.

How do Semi-Rimless (Supra) glasses work?

Semi rimless have a nylon thread fitted around the lens, which anchors it to the soild, normal part of the frame rim. These glasses give the lightness and look of rimless, but are much stronger as the half rim gives strength, and you do not have to drill through the lenses (as with rimless)
